Gord Downie is number 5 on this list. This Canadian rock legend was the lead singer for the band, Tragically Hip. Unfortunately, he died on October 17th at the age of 53. The cause of his death was terminal cancer of the brain. Even though his illness was terminal, he continued to perform and to live his life to the fullest.
At Number 4 comes Adam West. Adam was most known for his portrayal of the DC comic superhero, Batman in the 1960’s TV series. He also did some voice-over work for The Simpsons and Family Guy as he played fictional versions of himself. The Batman actor died of leukemia at the age of 88 on June 9th 2017. He died at his home in Los Angeles, California because of cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, and sepsis. He was laid to rest next to Marilyn Monroe at Westwood memorial park in a $75,000 crypt beside because he once said, “Spending eternity next to Marilyn is an opportunity too sweet to pass up.”
Chester Bennington was only 41 years old when he was found dead in his home in July 2017, after he had committed suicide by hanging. He was the lead singer for the bands Lincoln Park, Dead by Sunrise and Stone Temple Pilots. Chester Bennington had also been very open about his struggles with addiction and depression.
